How to Find the Right Sexologist to Help You Solve your Sexual Problems in Brussels?
Sexuality and romantic relationships are a part of life and everyone can go through sexual or relational difficulties. It is sometimes difficult to talk about them and a sexologist can help you understand and solve those problems. Whether relational or sexual difficulties within the couple, or a personal development of your own sexuality, there are several things you should know before you make an appointment with a sexologist in Brussels.
What is a Sexologist?
It is a professional specialized in sexual and relationship matters. As a sexologist, I can help you diagnose and solve a variety of sexual problems. The following issues (and many more) can be discussed in my sexology consultations in Brussels:
- Relationship with your own body
- Fantasies and desires
- Love relationships
- Erectile dysfunction
- Faithfulness, polyamory, open couple
- Lack of desire or lack of libido
- Questions about premature ejaculation
- Couple sexual life satisfaction
- Pain during sexual intercourse (with or without penetration)
- Difficulty achieving orgasm (anorgasmia) and letting go
- Questions about identity and sexual preferences (LGBTQIA+, sexual orientation, etc.)

All of these reasons can be closely linked to self-esteem. Sexology is at the crossroads between the image of our own body, our desires and our cultural and social environment. Over the past 25 years, I have had the opportunity to speak with many people who were unable to communicate freely about their sexuality. When traumas exist, this lack of dialogue can create deep physical and psychological suffering. This is where I can help! Whether you are facing relational or sexual difficulties, I build an exchange in a climate of trust, security and confidentiality.

How to Find a Sexologist in Brussels?
Although there are many sexologists in the city of Brussels and throughout Belgium, it is not always easy to seek help and talk to a stranger when one wants to improve their sex life. Ideally, one should find a sexologist through a trusted person (general practitioner, gynecologist, relatives, etc.). Some prefer to search online for local sexologists: in this case, make sure to read their website carefully to check that their approach suits you and makes you feel at ease.
Comments from sexologists’ patients are scarce because the subject is so very intimate. Feel free to check Google reviews for other areas of their expertise. Generally, this will reassure you about the reliability of the sexual health specialist you decide to contact.
I also suggest you look for information about the different approaches and therapies offered by the sexologists you find. There are numerous therapeutic methods and some can be combined: cognitive-behavioral therapy, functional analysis, hypnosis, psychoanalysis, coaching, etc.

As a sexologist, my approach very often involves questioning taboos and preconceived ideas. Whether facing personal, professional or family life issues, I take into account the entire social environment of the person who consults me in order to identify possible causes of stress, anxiety or even shame and guilt.
Passionate about people and coaching, I arrived in the Belgian capital 20 years ago. Trained in questions of gender and sexuality at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and member of the trans*/inter* psycho-medico-social Belgian network, I was able to combine my research with new learning on sexual difficulties.
As a Change Management expert, I always listen to you with kindness and guide you in your questions. I help you understand your intimate difficulties and I support you with customised advice and workshops to help you develop your relationship with your sexuality and your body.
During a consultation, we go through a path of reflection in accordance with your own limits. If you have any questions before making an appointment, please feel free to contact me! All topics can be discussed.

What Happens in a Sexology Consultation ?
During your first session with a sexologist, it is important to establish a climate of trust where you feel safe. The topics covered concern your relationships and your intimate suffering in relation to your body. The topics are sensitive, the process is delicate and this can cause certain blockages. To overcome them, I create the right atmosphere for a good listening and understanding for each appointment, allowing you to feel free to express what you want. Note that a sexology consultation is a verbal exchange that respects your limits as well as mine. It is never mandatory to answer a question if it bothers you.
As a professional sexologist in the city of Brussels, my role is to support you using dialogue. To properly address your issues, I pay particular attention to your feelings while ensuring that I guide you towards sexuality that better fits your needs. Whatever the topic, what matters is that you feel free to speak so that we can better understand the cause of your sexual suffering and seek appropriate solutions.

My approach is based on life coaching tools and my expertise in sexology. I combine aspects of human relationships with your look on your own body. This intimate connection can be the cause of sexual problems which prevent many of us from feeling fulfilled. These disorders include both sexual difficulties (performance, desire, pain, premature ejaculation, etc.) as well as relational and emotional difficulties (fear of commitment, communication problems with one’s partner, emotional dependence, etc.).
